Women Deserve Better... Religious Edition

When I was in Catholic School I remember learning that Mary Magdalene was the "hair washing with foot whore". Ironically though the Catholic church still made her into a Saint. In my later years, I would learn that in actuality she was a priestess whom Jesus thought highly of, so much so that he often referred to her as "the woman who knows all." She was also said to have born a daughter with him, which would make sense because it was common for men to have sex with the priestesses because they were revered as the ones who had all the mystical powers, and having intimate relations with them was seen as a blessing. I am surprised though that the bible also didn't call her fat.
